The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) is a collaborative partnership between Imperial College London and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU). 

On 5 August 2013 LKCMedicine opened its doors, a new undergraduate medical school developed to directly contribute to Singapore’s healthcare system and transform medical education.

The aim of each partner was to train doctors to meet local needs and world class standards, to put patients at the centre of care, to use innovative medical education models and to transform the arena of medical education research. Graduates of the five-year medical degree programme have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities. 

We have developed close working collaborations such that our students and staff may take advantage of a number of joint initiatives; student mobility programmes, bespoke clinical electives opportunities, enrichment weeks, Intercalated BSc degree pathways, and partnerships in faculty research projects.
